Spring 2017-Summer 2019

Organizer at The Bench: an Artist’s Collective

  • Served as president from Spring 2018-Spring 2019.
  • Ran weekly meetings of the group, which included event organizing, discussion, and critiques
  • Co-organized multidisciplinary Salons by jurying submissions, installing visual artwork at a pop-up venue, and facilitating poetry and musical performances
  • Co-wrote grant proposal for New York Show For Lease, which was fulfilled by WVU student council and a local non-profit, Arts Monongahela.

Spring 2018

Head organizer for collaboration between Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club and The Bench,

  • Wrote and executed weekly lessons for elementary and middle school students on installation art based upon the work of contemporary artist Sarah Sze (b. 1969).

  • Conducted 8 weeks of research in the field of painting
  • Presented research via presentation at WVU’s Spring Research Symposium

Summer 2015-2018

Head Art Teacher for Kids In Motion art and sports camp, Easton, PA

  • Taught visual art lessons on painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, crafting for 100 elementary and middle school students per year.
  • Managed 3 assistant teachers and 15+ counselors.
  • Organized end of the week visual arts show for parents.
